Some changes to dragons in the revised bestiary.
By the way I don't like Dragons having spells. Spells make any monster harder to manage and require expert like knowledge from GM. 4th edition rightly replaced them with spell like abilities.
The changes are influenced by the 4th edition and some from 2024 /5edition dragons with
-Recharge breath weapons on being bloodied
-a seperate area of effect attack with its own recharge
-Varying powers available by age and
-New additional effects to frighful presence for ancient dragons and Great Wyrms only
We had already made some other changes such as integrating liar actions into the stat block
Not we dont have legendary actions however the Ultimate Resistence replaces this for legendary bosses (which include Ancient Dragons and Great Wyrms), Some legendary bosses have between 3 and 5 points of Ultimate Resistance. It is not listed in the Bestiary rather it is added if a monster is a legendary boss in a campaign. It adds +1 to the Skull rating.
Ultimate resistance is a resource to the GM only used as a reaction. Spending one point of ultimate resistance either:
-Allows the monster to roll at edge for a
repel or resist roll.
-Or allows the monster to self heal - major heal.
Both are one action point.

only.
