A new Bestiary is released today available individually and as part of the combined books pack.
The Bestiary is composed of conversions from Pathfinder Second edition and remaster. This doubles the monsters in the system adding 624. Almost all monsters from Bestiaries 1, 2 and 3, and Monster Core and Monster Core 2 have been added. Only a few silly monsters not worth the ink have been excluded, as well as many monsters already covered in the original Bestiary using the ampersand game design. This really adds variety and choice adding new Hags, Onis, Giants and Gremlins for example, as well as many more new dragons, as well as Linnorms and Drakes. UIt massively increases the choice and categories of celestials and fiends. Choice is expecially increased at higher skull rankings. It doesnt yet cover the Dracomium, NPC core or PF1 bestiaries 2-5 (almost everything in PF1 Bestoary 1 is already covered). an excluse for a future More Monsters of Midgauird book. a monsters of midguard book covering Kobold Press monsters is also planned.
The bigger picture is that with so many conversions almost all published adventures and adventure paths are usable without any conversion. The pain point to using a new system is gone.
In addition some changes to the original bestiary have been made to maintain compatibility, as well as to maintain compatibility 4 mew conditions and around 25 new spells. There have also been reworking for consistency of Swarms, 1/8, 1/4 and 1/2 SR monsters and a few small changes to the Adventurers Guide, Designing Adventures Handbook and Starter Pack.
