A new version of the advventurers guide has been uploaded today - finally an overdue update of the table of contents and index.
Also a clarification of spellcast and shoot actions in teh action economy. Originally we had a pathfinder type system where if you move-action=move that was three actions. We made spellcasting and shooting two action point so you couldt leap from behind cover and launch a ranged attack and leap back without a special ability/ That otherwise be exploiting a turn based system to be invlnerable.
The introduced of split movement (like Baldurs Gaye 3) and all members of a party moving together mean the need for a revision. Now when you take a two point action (spellcast or shoot for example) movement ends, unless you have a special ability like Fast Shoot from Cover.
The second much bigger change is the damage system. This requuired two big tables to work out which slowed play. This has now been revised to one simple table.
You first claculate: Damage Rank = Damage Category Minus Armour Category
Then use this single simple table:
Damage Rank | Damage Dice Weapons | Damage Dice Spells & Monsters
|
-4 or less | No Damage | No Damage |
-3 or less | No Damage | 1 |
-2 | 1 | 1d4 |
-1 | 1d4 | 1d6 |
0 | 1d6 | 1d8 |
1 | 1d8 | 1d10 |
2 | 1d10 | 1d12 |
3 | 1d12 | 2d6+1 |
4 | 2d6+1 | 3d6+2 |
5 | 3d6+2 | 4d6+3 |
6 or more | Add 1d6 per rank above 5 | Add 1d6+1 per rank above 5 |
